Kathy Ann Songer, 49

Kathy Ann Songer, 49, of Huntingburg, passed away at 10:40 a.m., on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.

She was born February 21, 1966 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to James and Mary (Durcholz) Songer.

Kathy was a lifetime member of Salem United Church of Christ. She enjoyed listening to country music; and was an Indiana University basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Songer, who passed away March 6, 2012; and her twin brother, Kurt Songer.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Songer of Huntingburg; four sisters,Linda Lish of Jasper, Ginger Lanham of North Fort Myers, Fla., Sharon Songer of Fort Wayne and Barb Jochem of Gibsonia, Penn.; two brothers, Michael Songer and Keith Songer, both of Huntingburg; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Kathy Ann Songer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff, Indiana.

Pastor Mark West will officiate at the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the day of the funeral. Memorial donations can be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice or to Salem United Church of Christ.
