Alan Arthur Thompson, 80

Alan Arthur Thompson, 80, of Princeton, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on Feb.22, 1935 in Oakland City to Orvan & Mary (Davis) Thompson.

Alan retired from Oakland City Post office after 30 years of service.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents a brother Noel Thompson and his first wife Thelma and daughter Darlene in 1968.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Zelma (Belk) Thompson; son, Brent Thompson of Flora, Ill.; daughter, Lisa and husband Richard Streicher of Jasper; sister, Phyllis Walker of Princeton; grandchildren, April Crew, Kendra, Chris and Craig Streicher.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. CDT Friday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City with burial in Anderson Chapel Cemetery in Petersburg.

Rev.Alec Hensley will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until services on Friday at the chapel.
