Anthony “Tony” Duane Catt, 43

Anthony “Tony” Duane Catt, 43, of Otwell, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 in a boating accident which occurred on Patoka Lake Reservoir in Orange County.

Tony was celebrating his marriage of 18 years together with his wife Denise (Speedy) Catt.

He was born June 12, 1971 in Washington, Indiana, to David and Georgia (Trayler) Catt. He was united in marriage to Denise Speedy on June 22, 1996 at the Otwell United Methodist Church in Otwell, Indiana.

Tony was a 1989 graduate of Pike Central High School; a member of Local #561 Labor Union; and board member of the Otwell Community Center and Director of the Charger Challenge Basketball Tournament. Tony never met a stranger and loved his community and sporting activities, of which he coached Little League baseball, soccer and basketball teams. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents; and five aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Denise Catt of Otwell; one son, Jake (fiancé: Brianna Cummins) Catt of Velpen; one daughter, Lindsey Catt at home in Otwell; his parents, David and Georgia Catt of Velpen; one sister, Christy (Catt) Stone of Winslow; two brothers and two sister-in-laws, Kevin (spouse: Chanda) Catt of Otwell and Derek (spouse: Justine “Hoppy”) Catt of Velpen; seven aunts and uncles including Kathy Bezy of Otwell with whom he shared a close relationship and by nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Anthony “Tony” Catt will be held at 10:00 a.m., EST, on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Iva Public Cemetery in Otwell.
