Ashley R. Stephens, 25, Jasper

Ashley R. Stephens, 25, of Jasper, passes away at 10:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Ashley was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on July 23, 1992, to Michael John and Rachel (Stephens) Hopper.

She was a member of the ASPCA. She liked helping people. She enjoyed listening to ICP music, baking and she loved animals, especially dogs.

Ashley is survived by her mother, Rachel Hopper of Turlock, Calif.; her father, Michael John Hopper of Bakersfield, Calif.;  husband, John Kersh of Jackson, Miss.; three sons, Timothy, Ace and Preston Kersh of Indianapolis; three sisters, Cassandra Contreras (Luis) of Indianapolis, Candace Black (Randy) of Jasper and Summer Schmidt (Gerald III) of Indianapolis; three brothers, Michael Hopper of Jasper, Josh Blume of Indianapolis and Levi Hopper of Otwell; several nieces and nephews; paternal grandfather, Neil Hopper of LaCrosse, Wisc.

Preceding her in death are her sister, Autumn Hopper, her paternal grandmother, Charlotte Hopper, and maternal grandparents, Paul and Bonnie Stephens.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
