Best Home Furnishings announces 2022 scholarship recipients

Ferdinand — Best Home Furnishings has a long-standing tradition of investing in the people and organizations of the local communities that help foster a better way of life for all.  Part of the youth development mission is the awarding of annual academic scholarships to four dependent children of Best Home Furnishings’ full-time employees.

The recipients were selected by an independent committee of individuals independent of the Best organization.

Best Home Furnishings congratulates the following 2022 scholarship recipients:

Fleck

Grace Fleck, daughter of Bruce (Distribution Center Supervisor) and Audrey Fleck of Ferdinand. She participated in Basketball, Soccer, Key Club, Rangers for Christ, National Honors Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, BETA, FCCLA, and Christ the King Youth Group.  Grace plans to attend Western Kentucky University to major in Nursing.

Gogel

Michaela Gogel, daughter of Mike and Brenda Gogel (Chair Division, Sewing Trainer) of Mariah Hill.  She participated in Cross Country, Student Council, and 4-H.  She plans to attend University of Southern Indiana to major in Elementary Education.

Johnson

Brooke Johnson, daughter of Mary Schultz (Chair Division, Line Feed department) of Jasper.  She participated in Cheerleading, Peer Mentors, and Natural Helpers.  Brooke plans to attend Indiana University to major in Human Biology.

Jones

Hannah Jones, daughter of Casey and Kami Jones (Purchasing Assistant Manager) of Tell City.  She was in Student Council for 3 years, Art Club for 3 years (senior year gopher), Key Club for 1 year (senior year secretary) and Swim Team for 4 years.  Hannah plans to attend Indiana University Southeast to major in Education.
