Blackgrove announces candidacy for Huntingburg at-large seat
Alex Blackgrove announced he will be seeking the Republican nomination in the May 2019 primary for the at-large seat in Huntingburg.

“I enjoyed representing the citizens of District 2 while serving on the Huntingburg City Council from 2012 through 2015 and hope to serve the entire community in the future by being elected to the at-large seat on the Huntingburg Common Council,” Blackgrove said.
Blackgrove stated he considered serving on the Huntingburg Stellar Committee and as one of his greatest accomplishments while he was a council member.

He has also served on the Huntingburg Parks Board and Huntingburg Advisory Planning Commission.
“While serving on the Huntingburg Common Council I supported various projects such as the recently completed railroad overpass project, renovation on the Northside Fire Station, renovation on the Huntingburg Police Station, and installation of the senior housing development at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital property,” he added.
Blackgrove also served as a volunteer firefighter/EMT on the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department from 2009 through 2015.
