Bombers hold on for 13-12 win over Flash

The game ended just in time for the Bombers to retain a 13-12 win last night. The win brings us to only 1/2 game out of the lead in the OVL East Division.

Henderson fought back after being down by eight runs in the seventh inning and scoring 4 runs in the ninth. The comeback fell just short.

The Bombers scored five runs in the seventh inning, with Nick Gonzales, Tanner Craig, and Chase Andrews, all driving in runs in the inning.

Evan Hall earned the victory on the hill for the Bombers. He allowed eight hits and five runs over five innings, striking out six. Jack Anderson, Ryan Luckett, and Jaxson Blair all put in work in relief out of the bullpen.

Cam Wiley took the loss for the Flash. He went three and a third innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out three.

12 hits on the day for the Bombers with Aders knocking out a grand slam and Gonzales blasting a 2-run homer. John McDonald, Andrews, and Gonzales all collected multiple hits for the Bombers.

The Bombers return home tonight with Fulton making the trip to League Stadium. The Southridge Raider baseball team will be recognized as 2018 State Finalists prior to the start of the game. Gates open at 6:00pm. Game starts at 7:00 (eastern).
