Bon Jovi tribute band to kick of Lincoln Amphitheatre performances

• April 11 food fundraising event also announced

Two members of the internationally-touring Bon Jovi tribute band, Slippery When Wet, will make a stop in Lincoln City on Saturday, May 1, 2021, for a limited capacity evening of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits performed acoustically.

Doors for the two-set performance will open at 5 p.m., the performance will begin at 6 p.m., and will celebrate the music of a band that has had multiple Grammy nominations (winning one) and is a Class of 2018 member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. All times are central.

Tickets are limited to less than 25 percent of the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s seating capacity to ensure social distance is maintained. $16.95 tickets can be purchased for the event at www.LincolnAmphitheatre.com.

As a full band, Slippery When Wet is one of the most decorated tributes around—even having been officially authorized in 2007 by Bon Jovi to perform their entertaining show.  Slippery When Wet is the most searched Bon Jovi tribute band on Google and has the most views of any Bon Jovi tribute band on Youtube.  In 2018, Jason Morey was chosen to perform as the only Jon Bon Jovi impersonator in the “Legends in Concert” Las Vegas show.

On site hand sanitizer is provided courtesy Monkey Hollow Winery & Distillery (www.monkeyhollowwinery.com) and all CDC rules and recommendations will be abided.  Per the Governor’s executive order, the use of face masks and face coverings will be required to enter the facility and when moving about the mezzanine area to concessions, restrooms, etc.  Once in the seating area and social distance is in place, face coverings can be removed if the patron is comfortable doing so.  While it is encouraged that all patrons bring their own face covering, masks will be available to purchase onsite.

Full concessions, including beer and wine, will be available at the May 1 acoustic tribute to Bon Jovi performance.  Tickets are still available for two upcoming Heritage Hills presentations at the Lincoln Amphitheatre:  “Fright Night of Rock” presented by the Heritage Hills Choral Department on April 1-3, as well as “Back to the 80s” presented by the Heritage Hills Theater Department April 16-8 and again on April 23-25.  Tickets for these and all Lincoln Amphitheatre events can be found at www.LincolnAmphitheatre.com.

Additionally, a meal/food fundraiser to benefit the Lincoln Amphitheatre will be held and with advanced sales taking place now.  The meal (½ a barbecue chicken, baked potato, green beans, and a dinner roll) will be prepared by The Chateau in Mariah Hill, and available for pickup in the parking lot of Old Tyme Liquors (10 Louis J. Koch Boulevard, Santa Claus, Indiana 47579) between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. central time on Sunday, April 11.  The meals are $12 per and can be purchased in advance at www.LincolnAmphitheatre.com.  Net proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s project fund.
