Bowling fun

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth Bowling League is underway, with 83 bowlers ranging from first through eighth grade taking part in a fun hour of bowling at Eastown Recreation Center Saturdays. The league is held in the spring and fall and usually fills up. Here are a couple of photos from Saturday’s fun.

Ruby Hulsman, 6, watched expectantly as her ball slowly traveled in the lane.
Garrett Werner, 7, flung his bowling ball down the lane after taking a running start.
Clara Stallman, 11, lined up her shot. “Yeah, I’m good; my mom bowled in high school and college,” she replied when asked how she felt about her game Saturday.
Camden Jochem, 8, reacted after getting a strike during his second round of play.
Austin Macer, 9, waited as his ball seemingly headed right where he needed it to go. This is his first year in the league.
