Charles E. Schneider, 75, Dubois

Charles E. Schneider, 75, Dubois, Indiana passed away at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Cathedral Health Care in Jasper.

He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on December 2, 1940, to to Robert and Leona (Marks) Schneider. He married Georgia Lea Ziegler on May 20, 1951.

Charlie was self employed construction contractor and home builder.

He was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Bricklayers Union, Dubois JC’s and Dubois Softball League.

He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid card player ,

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Lea “Sis” Schneider; daughter, Misty Bohnert and husband Jason of Jasper; three sons, Greg Schneider wife Pam of Jasper, Ed Schneider and wife Sharla of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Dave Schneider and wife Danielle of Jasper; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Schneider and wife Diane of Jasper and Rich Schneider and wife Norma of Zionsville; one sister, Bonnie Sergesketter of Jasper.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Elizabeth Schneider.

Funeral services for Charles Schneider will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery in Dubois.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
