Charles Michael “Mike” LaDuke, 77, Celestine
Charles Michael “Mike” LaDuke, age 77, of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 7:07 a.m., on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at his home.
He was born June 2, 1942, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Charles Eugene and Lula (Chase) LaDuke. He married Frances M. Frisbie on February 9, 1963, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Waukegan, Illinois.
Mike was a retired semi-truck driver for Lodesky Trucking in Gurnee, Ill. He attended Fairview Baptist Church in Taswell. He was an avid fisherman and aircraft aviator. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Betty Davis, Isabelle Van Hassel, James LaDuke, and Mary Lou Ford.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances M. LaDuke of Celestine, Indiana; one daughter, Sharon LaDuke;two sons, Michael Charles (Janine) LaDuke of Capron, Illinois and David LaDuke of Bristol, Wisconsin; one brother, Robert LaDuke of Tucson, Arizona; one sister, Pat Smeltzer of Green Valley, Arizona; by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
Burial will take place at the Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. ET in the Northshore Garden of Memories Chapel with visitation prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
