Community Foundation announces two new board members

Dubois County Community Foundation announced the appointment of two new board members; Ashley Blessinger and Cory Menke.

Ashley Blessinger is in sales and advertising for the Dubois County Bombers. Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Evansville.

She serves on the board of directors of the Dubois County Leukemia Association and is a member of St. Mary’s Church. Previously, Ashley served on the board of directors of A Kids Place and on the Huntingburg Stellar committee.

Ashley, her husband, Dr. Brian Blessinger, and their three children reside in Huntingburg.

Cory Menke is the Director of Operations at OFS Brands. Cory received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Millikin University. Cory previously served on the Dubois County Emerging Leaders steering committee and Huntingburg Steller committee. Currently, he is a member of Salem United Church of Christ and the Huntingburg Redevelopment Commission.

Cory resides in Huntingburg with his wife, Kelsey, and three children.

Other changes to the board of directors include Mark Balsmeyer’s appointment to vice-president, formerly held by Nancy Wilson, and Lonnie Nicholson’s appointment to secretary, formerly held by Andrea Tooley.

Jen Verkamp remains president and Jason Kelly, treasurer, for the year.

The Community Foundation is governed by 15 community volunteers from across the county who oversee strategic planning, policy and responsibly steward over $38 million in assets.
