Debra J. “Debby” Harris, age 54, of Velpen, passed away at 2:48 p.m., Monday (April 8, 2013) in Leopold, Indiana.
Debby was born in Salem, Kentucky on October 16, 1958 to Pete and Shirley (Tinsley) Watson. She married Scott Harris on June 10, 1995 in Evansville, Indiana.
She was a graduate of Pike Central High School and then graduated from Vincennes University Jasper Campus with an Associate’s Degree in Social Work.
She worked at the Holland Dairy for 15 years, Tri-Cap Head Start, and then at FedEx for six years.
Her and her husband enjoyed raising elk.

Preceding Debby in death are her parents, Pete and Shirley Watson, and one grandson, Tristen Mehringer.
Funeral services for Debra J. “Debby” Harris will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (April 13, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Spraggins Cemetery just outside of Velpen, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday (April 12, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel. Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate.
