Dentist’s wife arrested at courthouse; more charges expected in neglect and criminal confinement case
Police arrested the wife of a Huntingburg dentist charged with neglect and criminal confinement of a juvenile in a cage found in their rural Huntingburg home.

Aimee Friz, 36, of 5275 W. County Road 700S, left the residence during Wednesday’s incident and a subsequent search performed by Dubois County Deputies and Indiana State Police.
Today, as deputies were transporting Friz to his court appearance scheduled for 1 p.m., Mrs. Friz was seen outside the courthouse by a deputy. She was arrested and also preliminarily charged with a Level 5 count of neglect of a dependant and a Level 6 felony count of criminal confinement.
Mrs. and Mr. Friz appeared in court today and requested bond. According to the Dubois County Prosecuting

Attorney Anthony Quinn, authorities are still compiling information in the case and more charges are likely. Quinn requested and was granted a 72-hour hold on the case as his office completed their investigation. Quinn asked that the court not grant them bond until then and Judge Nathan Verkamp agreed.
The incident began when deputies responded to the report of a juvenile being out of control at the residence at 5275 W. County Road 700S at about 10:40 Wednesday morning. After making contact with the juvenile, deputies requested assistance from the Dubois County Office of Family and Children Services. After an interview was completed with the juvenile, a search warrant for the property was granted by the Dubois County Circuit Court.
Deputies took the juvenile’s father Alan Friz, 57, of the same address, into custody after completing their interview with the juvenile.
Deputies returned to the property at 5 p.m. to execute the search warrant. Indiana State Police were also asked to assist with the search of the residence. During the search, officers found that a closet in a bedroom in the residence had been turned into a lockable cage. Police allege the juvenile had been kept in it for extended periods of time. Deputies were told the juvenile was locked in the closet cage during the overnight hours and possibly other times.
Friz was preliminarily charged with a Level 5 felony count of neglect of a dependent and a Level 6 felony county of criminal confinement. He is currently being held without bond pending a court appearance in Dubois Circuit Court.
While searching the residence, a man identified as Kenneth L. Le Fevre, 24, arrived and told deputies he rented a room at the residence. He became very disruptive, according to police, and was asked to leave the property by deputies. He refused to leave and had to be physically removed by deputies.
According to police, they gave Le Fevre multiple opportunities to leave and warned him he would be arrested if he didn’t comply. He would not leave and his actions made the scene very chaotic so deputies took him into custody.
Le Fevre was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement as Class A Misdemeanor. He is currently being held on a $500 bond.

I’m literally sick to my stomach.
You just never know what goes on behind closed doors. They deserve to go to their cages in jail!!
Why are they smiling…sick people
Nothing to smile about…. I heard some strange stuff about this man is he married to his step daughter ?
His adoptive daughter, right?
No on both. Aimee was never adopted. She lived in the home as one of the children. But was never adopted. It was morr of a “Foster Child” situation.
Please clarify, then, to stop any further speculation or misinformation – whose “child’ is or was she…who or where did she come from as “one of the children” living in the home before marrying the father living in the home?
That information has nothing to do with this particular situation
It does now. Don’t allow things to fester and build up any longer – it’s bad enough – but “that information” may actually help matters for those involved, plus for public consumption, to clarify who’s who…unless you LIKE rabid rumor, speculation and hearsay run amok.
My cage rocks !!!
They both need to be left in jail and the dentist needs his license taken away from him
He WAS my dentist…he’s not now…
GOD BLESS the juvenile…put in a VERY SMALL CAGE, with NO bathroom and throw away the key!
So that’s my dad and step mom. I’ve been in those kids shoes and was lucky my mom won the custity battle fifteen years ago. I feel bad for all my brothers and sisters. No one knows what its like living under there roof with the devil.
So sorry for what you have been thru and witnessed. I hope you can find a way to comfort your brothers and sisters. Your dad had been my famiky’s Dentist forever. Sad to learn of all your troubles. God bless you and those innocent ones involved.
Im so sorry Alan that you and your siblings had to go through such a horrible thing…. I hope they get put in a safer place… Sendinf my thoughts and prayers to you and your siblings and hope justice is served…. May God be with you each and every day
Bless your heart. There’s never any justice for children, like your siblings! I’m happy you got out. The other children should have been checked on by CPS! Just for what you went through & how your father & step mom ended up together was beyond sick! The guy that rented the room, there’s something fishy there too! Why get so upset over a search warrant if you don’t have anything to hide? ?
Hope your siblings can have a better life. They came to our church a few years ago then we moved. The kids seemed scared except one, who’d be thirteen now. She was more social and seemed to admire our family & my daughter who is the same age. Wish I’d had known. He never brought your step mom. Said she was staying home with the triplets, who were infants. He was definitely an overbearing man.
I’m so happy you got out. My family lived next to yours in Huntingburg for a while. Your sister babysat for us. We were very fond of you all, and we’re glad you are doing well.
I love you son.
Nancy here. Miss you, Pattie.
Thank you for chiming in Alan. That took a tremendous amount of courage.
