Doris Jean Powers, age 68, of Dale, Indiana, passed away Thursday morning, June 27, 2013 at her residence in Dale.
She was born June 10, 1945 in Warrick County, Indiana to Kenneth and Delores (Bass) Rainey. She married Roland D. Powers on May 26, 1967 in Warrick County, Indiana.
Jean was a retired nurse’s aide. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sons, Jerry Wayne Powers and Aaron Powers; and one brother and one sister who both died in infancy, Kenneth Rainey Jr. and Katherine Rainey.

Funeral services for Doris Jean Powers will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Log Creek Cemetery near Stendal.
