Dorothy K. Souders, 86

Dorothy K. Souders, age 86, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 10:10 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born June 4, 1926 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Frank and Agnes (Drach) Klem. Dorothy worked as a receptionist for Dr. Amini’s medical office; and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and former member of the Huntingburg Ladies Golf League. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edwin F. Souders, who died November 24, 1996; and one sister, Amelia Wehr.

She is survived by:

Mark Souders – Jakarta, Indonesia

Keith “Curly” Souders – Huntingburg, IN

Kurt Souders – Santa Claus, IN

Three daughters,

Beverly Evans – Golden, CO

Brenda Eckert – Austin, TX

Lisa Souders – Huntingburg, IN

One brother,

Norbert “Pete” Klem – St. Anthony, IN

One sister,

Ruth Harris – Wichita, KS

and by six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dorothy K. Souders will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday. A parish vigil prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday afternoon, at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
