Dr. Tracy Lorey named to Springs Valley Bank & Trust board of directors

Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company welcomes Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation Superintendent Dr. Tracy Lorey, Ph.D. to its board of directors.

“Learning and administration are two of the foundational pieces of business, commerce, and banking,” said president and CEO, Jamie Shinabarger.” We welcome the skillset that Dr. Lorey brings to the Board.”

In her new role, Dr. Lorey will join the current directors to oversee Springs Valley through a wide variety of tasks including the establishment of policies and objectives, the appointment and review of executive positions, and the approval of annual budgets.

Dr. Lorey is the current Superintendent of Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools. Dr. Lorey received her Ph.D. in Education Administration, Non-Degree Certification in Elementary Administration and M.S. Elementary Education degree from Indiana State University. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana.

In addition to her professional duties, Dr. Lorey is a member of, or holds office in several professional organizations. She served as a Council Member of AdvancED Indiana State, and is a member of the Indiana
Association of Public School Superintendents. She is a Board Member of Dubois-Spencer-Perry-Pike Exceptional Children’s Cooperative Board, Patoka Valley Career and Technical Cooperative Board, Southern Indiana Education Center Board, Indiana School Board Association, Indiana Association of School Business Officials, and the Children’s Wrap-Around.

She is also a member of several community partnerships, which include: Vincennes University Advisory Committee, Dubois County Safety Committee, Dubois County Health Board, Grow Dubois County, Patoka Valley Health Care Cooperative, Ireland Vision Steering, and Dubois County Health Partnership.

Dr. Lorey and her husband Kurt reside in Jasper and are the parents of seven children.
