Due to the latest Covid-19 guidelines released by Dubois County Health Department, the museum announced the cancellation of programs on December 12 and 13.
Scheduled those days were a Cookie Walk and a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 12, and Joe (Swampy) Schoenbachler carving, Storytime for the children and a Cookie Walk on Sunday, December 13.
The museum will be open regular hours from November 19 through January 3, 2021, for The Festival of Trees viewing, Santa figurine display, a wide variety of Hummel figurines, an Alpine winter photo opportunity, a display of miniature Dickens village, and a lighted Main Street. Sixteen decorated Christmas Trees are displayed in the Festival of Trees from communities in Dubois County. Each tree is unique and tells a story of their community. Also displayed around the museum are about fifteen additional decorated trees.
You are invited to go online to Facebook, Twitter and the museum website to see up-to-date pictures of the trees. While visiting the museum in person, the museum is urging the wearing of face masks, staying at least six feet apart, and moving around in our spacious museum area in order to keep everyone safe.
