Dubois County undergoing post-election audit

Dubois County Clerk Amy Kippenbrock and the Dubois County Election Board will hold a post-election audit at the Jasper Train Depot, 201 Mill St., Jasper, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 8 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to attend.

Dubois County Clerk Amy L. Kippenbrock volunteered Dubois County to participate in the Post-Election Audit to encourage voter confidence in our election process.

“A post-election audit checks that the equipment and procedures used to count votes during an election worked properly and that the election yielded the correct outcome,” according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The auditors will be comparing the printed sheets to the electronic records of the election.

The State of Indiana relies on the Voting System Technical Oversight Program (VSTOP) to conduct ballot polling and ballot comparison RLAs (risk limit audits) after primary and general elections.
