Edgar R. Wendholt, 80

Edgar R. Wendholt, age 80, of Jasper, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on November 4, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Edgar was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on March 3, 1932 to Hugo and Olivia (Schwartz) Wendholt. He married Catherine Dall on July 9th, 1955 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand IN.
Edgar was an Army Infantry Veteran that served in the Korean War.
He worked at Jasper Engines for over 41 years, from which he retired.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, the Holy Name Society, and the VFW Post 673.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and repairing small engines.

Preceding Edgar in death are two brothers, Walter and Erwin Wendholt.
Funeral services for Edgar R. Wendholt will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (November 7, 2012) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. The VFW Post 673 will conduct military gravesite rites.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday (November 6, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. A rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
