Eric C. Schaber, 65, Huntingburg

Eric C. Schaber, 65, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Vincennes.

Eric was born in Hazelton, Penn., on August 5, 1952 to Dr. William  G. and Eileen Z. (Seitz) Schaber.

He graduated from Dubois High School Class of 1970. Eric was a union carpenter who worked in Indiana and Illinois and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 90. He enjoyed taking pictures, drawing, writing, cooking, and gardening.

He is survived by three daughters, Robin Schaber (Michael Rogan) of Evansville, Jill Teamann (Chris) of Sumner, Texas and Alison Singer Walker (David) of Annapolis, Md.; two sons, Eric Schaber II (Tonya Kendrick Powers) of Newburgh and Jay Schaber of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; three sisters, Janet Smith (Tom) of Indianapolis, Dorothy Stanfill of Terre Haute and Elaine Hill (David) of Evansville; three brothers, Carl Schaber (Melissa) of Huntingburg, William Schaber of West Baden and Robert Schaber (Ida) of Cuzco.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Eric Schaber will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville. Pastor Timothy Kraemer will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the noon service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.
