Evansville Pasats and the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana present Medication Management

The Evansville Parkinson’s Support Group will host a special presentation concerning medication management as it relates to Parkinson’s disease.

This presentation will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm CST at the Deaconess Physician Center, 520 Mary Street, Room 350, Evansville, Indiana, 47710.

What is Medication Management?

A 90 minute session with Pharmacist, Chris Harlow, Director of Pharmacy Services at Your Community Pharmacy.  Topics covered will be the basics of PD medications, important points of when to notify your MD or Pharmacists about complications and side effects, food and drug interactions, drug-nutrient depletions and appropriate nutritional supplements. About the Pharmacist:

Chris Harlow, PharmD, CGP is the Director of Pharmacy Services at Your Community Pharmacy.  He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky and is certified in Geriatric Pharmacy.  His areas of interest include Pharmacy Compounding, Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Vaccine Preventable Illnesses.

One-on-One sessions with Chris Harlow:

As a follow-up to the Medication Management presentation participants will have the opportunity to register for a 40 minute one-on-one session with Chris Harlow that will be held on August 9th and 10th.  Parkinson’s constituents will be asked to bring current medications/supplements to the advisory session in which they will discuss specific questions as it relates to the individual’s treatment plan. Participants will be required to pay a fee of $20 at the time of registration, all other cost, will be supplemented by Parkinson Support Center.
