Expo introduces programs to potential future 4-H-ers

The public is invited to the family-friendly 4-H Expo to be held at the 4-H Fairgrounds Clover Pavilion on Monday, October 15th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to find out more about 4-H Clubs in your community, exciting 4-H events, and learn more about 4-H projects.

The theme for this year’s Expo is “Fall into Nature.” Enjoy various activities and games related to 4-H as well as prizes. There will also be free hot dogs, chips, and drinks at the event.

This year’s event will also feature reverse trick or treating where we ask guests to bring non-perishable food items to support the local food bank and community.

The Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds is located at 4157 S State Road 162, Huntingburg, six miles south of Jasper.

Dubois County 4-H offers a hands-on program where members learn skills and information useful for a lifetime. Today’s 4-H is popular with members from both town and country with its wide variety of projects and activities.

To be eligible to join traditional 4-H, youth must be in grades 3-12. Youth in grades K-2 may participate as a Mini 4-H member.

4-H provides experiences to teach the youth leadership and life skills that will enhance their development and prepare them for the future.

More information about clubs, projects, and enrollment will be available at the 4-H Expo.

We now have online enrollment at in.4honline.com. Enrollment opens on October 1 and we can help youth enroll online at the event. The targeted enrollment date is January 15, 2019.
