Ferdinand Heimatfest this weekend

The Ferdinand Heimatfest opens this Friday evening at 5 p.m. with food trucks, a beer garden and a family fun zone.

Sponsored by MasterBrand Cabinets, the Heimatfest kicks off the summer festival season.

Entertainment this year includes Cody Ikerd & the Sidewinders with Special Guest Rye Davis Friday evening and Saturday, Five Under will take the stage.

The festival features fun competitions like the Tri-County YMCA 9-hole disc golf scramble, Pong contest, 5K fun run, volleyball tournament, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, kiddie pedal pull, horseshoes and more.

The bulk of the money raised during Heimatfest Weekend is donated to the Ferdinand Community Endowment. Additionally, we always make a donation to the Dubois County Community Foundation’s General Fund for their board to administer effectively for the betterment of all of Dubois County. The committee also makes various donations to local community betterment projects and local not-for-profits that assist with the set-up, operations, and tear down of the Heimatfest.
