The Indiana House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill Tuesday, which would allow Hoosiers to use cannibidiol (CBD) oil to treat epilepsy, according to the bill’s co-author, State Rep. Lloyd Arnold (R-Leavenworth). House Bill 1148 would allow a person to possess CBD oil if they or their chil...
Matthew MageeTill we have decent doctors who support this AND insurance support (which wont happen) alot of us dont know proper doses vs our seizure meds. Even if it can reduce our meds by over half it would be great, cause of how bad the combo of seizures meds do to us.

Tracy Garbison AustinVery sad, seeing drug/alcohol dependency is so high in Dubois County. In the end who really suffers? The kids that are forced to live in these conditions. Come on people, we NEED to do better!!

DC is going to feel the loss of the services Mr Wells was able to share with us. Good luck to you and put your soul into your future Tex! Keep on trudging and I will see you at Bill W's again!

Warrick: Last night at appr. 8:30, a 21-year-old Jasper man looked away to read a text & drove his 2015 Ford Fusion into the rear of a semi on I-64 near the 33 mile-marker. Luckily he was restrained and was not injured. Just another reminder about the danger of texting and driving. Crash was investigated by Trooper Greer.

With Senator Todd Young's visit to Dubois County for the Lincoln Day Luncheon, a Bloomington resident decided to attempt to get his attention to hold an impromptu town hall. bit.ly/2l1fN0I... See MoreSee Less
While ticket holders received their report from Senator Todd Young up the hill at KlubHaus 61, more than 75 people from across the state gathered in front of the Veteran’s Memorial at the Dubois County Courthouse Saturday. Organized by Alexandra Morphet, who shares the senator’s hometown of Blooming...
Andrea HulsmanThe rally was organized because we all have attempted to call, write and email Sen. Young with no success. As an elected official, he works for the people. If you avoided calls and emails from your boss, wouldn't your boss confront you? If Sen. Young and/or his staff addressed voters mail/calls or held a town hall, people would not feel the need to go to where he is and confront him. After reading this post, I'm going to guess that Chairman Hayes doesn't realize that the senator doesn't follow up with his constituents.
And didn't Young fail to get the required number of signatures needed to even run for senator but he still managed to get on the ballot? Young doesn't need to listen to his constituents because he's listening to those who give him money. That is not the way our government should work.
Matthew MauntelPart of being a representative is explaining your point of view to your supporters and critics. If you are not willing to acknowledge your critics, you do not deserve to represent the people. I would like to hear from Young on healthcare. It is crazy that they are not willing to meet with people.
Tommy CravenGreat job exercising your constitutional right to protest! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sending love and solidarity to fight injustices that affect a broader humanity that many in this town refuse to believe exist. Your words and actions are noticed by many and most importantly by those who feel alone at this time in our country. Keep gathering and keep fighting. God knows no one shut up about Obama.
Adam HumbertThe first paragraph of this article highlights one of the biggest problems in politics today. Most politicians only respond to people that give money to them and could care less about anyone else.

Cheryl PieperDid everyone read this in the article. This woman is from Bloomington she does not like President Trump they may say they organized this for other reasons which may be true but the main thing stands out to me is her bitterness like others around the country toward the Trump administration. To me in my opinion they are not giving Trump a chance and we don't need that kind of bitterness in Dubois county we need to all come together and unit or this country will never be great again. This is from the article it stands out to me of a women and others trying to cause problems for the president I voted for. Below was copied from the article. Starting with Morphet: (Morphet, a 56-year-old self-employed seamstress and naturalized citizen from South Africa, was optimistic he might take some time to stop by the square. “It’s easy. It’s literally three minutes down the hill from where he’s at now,” Morphet said.
Morphet contrasted the 98Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln’s era with the party today which led to the name of the event, “Be a True Republican. “I have real concerns about the current administration,” Morphet said. “I feel threatened by the executive branch, and I feel that the senators and representatives are the people that have to stand up to him."). To me a "True " Republican would give the President a chance his has been in office a month and no cabinet, thinks to some so called republicans and democrats. If you let bitter people like this in from out of town soon others will follow. Everyone has their rights to protest but I am concerned with what her and others true meaning really was. She feels threatened by the Trump administration probably the most people presidents we have ever had.
Adam ChesterGood. If they won't listen then make them hear you. Fascists, nationalists and oligarchs must be resisted at every opportunity. Just keep it civil. No need to tear each other's throats out.

Andrea HulsmanWow... so many negative comments about a rally (not protest) where democrats and republicans came together in unity to encourage our senator to listen to the people! I'm the woman in the picture holding the white sign. I live in Jasper. I'm a woman, mother, coach, educator, activist and community volunteer. Not a rioting liberal looking to cause trouble. I'm a democrat standing WITH republicans in peace, unity and hope for a better future. If we had more of that, this world would be a better place.
Dakotah HendricksIs a Snowflake really a Snowflake if no disgruntled keyboard warrior is around to call it one?
I mean- your feelings are hurt that a group of individuals are peacefully assembling under their constitutional right to do so. Who here is actually a "Snowflake"? lol stay strong, DuCo. Words hurt!
Cheryl PieperThat's all we need in Dubois county "protestors". Planned parenthood is wrong. Abortion is wrong. Plan your own birth control, be responsible for yourself once and stop wanting government handouts. We have had 8 years of being divided,Thanks to Obama, unit and give Trump a chance. We don't need snowflakes in Dubois county.
Whitney PattersonAbortions are less than 2% of what Planned Parenthood does, and federal law ALREADY prevented tax dollars from funding them. Most of what Planned Parenthood does is provide contraception, education, and screenings. De-funding PP doesn't prevent abortions- it takes away services that prevent illness, disease, and unwanted pregnancies. But if half of you could form a full sentence or had ever read anything other than Fox News tickers, you'd know that. Jesus.
Vanessa HurstLots of respect for those of you who are following the encouragement of Pope Francis when he says we must have moral courage. Shaking and scratching my head to those of you that are so angry you cannot even research the many services Planned Parenthood offers.

Rhonda Harderwow, most of the commenters on here are VERY narrow minded... Planned parenthood is not an abortion clinic!! Besides that, its really nobody else business what a person does with their own body. I bet most of you are all for the unborn and once they are born they are on their own. How very "Christian" of you.
Amy HoldinAlso, please stop using the word "libtard." I know you have to type it out manually because my autocorrect changes it to library.
Using the word "retarded" in any form maliciously is horrible. It is a former medical diagnosis and should only be used as such. They literally changed the name of the medical diagnosis recently due to the stigma of people using it against each other.

Ashton StephensIt's happening. Our peaceful town is turning into all those other screwed cities. First we get the rape case at the hotel, then we get the morons that go in a pursuit(gets defended and released), and then the same idiots get arrested for drugs a month later. Now we have snowflakes protesting. This was once a small quiet town and now we are turning to crap. Snowflakes, go away, we don't need your kind here. Abortion is wrong in most cases, ILLEGAL immigrants should return to their own country and come back legally, and our schools need to be taken back from the Liberal Left as they are ruining the free minds that new young adults normally have.
Lawrence Theodore MastersonAs a growing group? That's a monstrous group.
Everyone better stay away from downtown today, the traffic must be terrible.
What a waste of a nice day.
I'm glad Todd is ignoring these people, as most of us are.
Amy HoldinThanks to those who took the time out of their day to attend this rally; the first amendment is a great thing!
If you don't agree with their message, please don't twist their words or agenda. This was a peaceful rally to bring both sides together and to send a message to an absent representative.

Jeremiah PetersonI'd like to say that the level of ignorance on display here is surprising, but sadly it's not. At least it seems to be confined to a select few.
Rene Nicholson IngleThere are so many important issues that need dealt with first. Finally we have someone who is going to put Americans and veterans first. Priorities people....at the rate our country has been going these past eight years, Planned Parenthood is the least of our worries.
Jolee Clarke-KasprzakGood for them. I hope there are more local protests and rallies of state and federal government. They put party lines aside too. Love it.

Donna BoutwellLiesl Eck is correct! Every statement that a person makes on social Media should be researched! There have been a lot of FAUX NEWS sites posting false information. There have been many staged videos. All of it has been done to disrupt thus country. Research. Research. Research. Don't go by posts on Facebook. My mother always told me "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see." I firmly believe this statement? Research befire reposting, sharing and responding.
Ann HutchinsonSo these people exercising their Fist Amendment rights upsets a bunch of crybabies, but Drumpf wasting million of tax dollars doesn't? Strange priorities. President Trump's "campaign-style rally" is an excuse from the White House for Trump to spend his 3rd straight weekend in at his private club in Florida at a cost to taxpayers of $3 million. The total cost of Trump's weekends in Florida amounts to a bill of more than $10 million.
