Girls on the Run registration open to all 3rd-5th grade girls in Dubois County

Registration for the upcoming Girls on the Run Spring 2018 Season will open November 6th through 20th.

The program will be available to all third through fifth grade girls in Dubois County. Girls on the Run, an international non-profit, is a positive youth development program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experienced-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Teams of girls and their volunteer coaches will meet twice a week for 10-weeks to play games, exercise and learn important life skills.  The fourth season of the program will kick-off February 5th and culminate with the GOTR Celebratory 5k on April 28th, with a Rain Date of May 4th.

To register, visit our website at www.gotrswin.org.  Program fees are income based and range from $10-$100.  Scholarships are available through an application process.  Teams are limited in size and participants will be chosen through a lottery system.  Once again, we will be using a new curriculum.  All third and fifth grade girls are encouraged to join the program regardless of previous running experience and level of physical fitness.  Homeschool students are encouraged to participate at any of our program sites as well.
