Henrietta M. Bartell, 93

Henrietta M. Bartell, 93, of Huntingburg, passed away Thursday, November 7th, at The Waters Of Huntingburg.

Henrietta was born October 9, 1920, in Ferdinand to Edward & Margaret (Nord) Oser.

She married Raymond Bartell on August 17, 1943, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand. He preceded her in death in 1998.

Survivors include one daughter, Maryann Bartell of Chapel Hill, NC; four sons, James Bartell of Long Beach, CA, Raymond Bartell Jr. of Big Rapids, MI, William “Bill” Bartell of Cincinnati, OH, & Robert “Bob” Bartell of Lansing, MI. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosemary Downing of Russellville, OH, Virginia Hubert of St. Croix, and Rita Buechlein of Huntingburg; and three brothers, Leroy Oser of Siberia, Edward Oser of Ferdinand, and George Oser of Mariah Hill. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Henrietta was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Carter; 3 sisters, Dolores Carnahan, Margaret Martin, and Louisia Oser in infancy; three brothers, Alfred “Jim” Oser, Walter Oser, and Robert “Bob” Oser; and her step-mother Olivia (Meyer) Oser.

Henrietta was a retired church secretary, a member of St. Meinrad Post 366 Auxiliary, & St. Marys Catholic Church in Huntingburg. She enjoyed knitting.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. CST Tuesday in St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
