Huntingburg Foundation presents Nonprofit Luncheon Series

In conjunction with the Huntingburg Foundation’s Better Together Initiative, Old National Bank presents the Nonprofit Luncheon Series designed to strengthen our local nonprofits and reinvigorate board members, staff, and dedicated volunteers in this professional development opportunity.

Old National Bank is joining the Foundation’s effort to bring the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network to present a series of luncheon workshops that will focus on nonprofit growth—large or small, old and new—in an engaging and energizing learning experience.

“Local charities have been traveling to Bloomington, Evansville, and beyond to participate in these professional development trainings designed for nonprofits, “Ward said. “This brings them close to home and accessible to more.”

The first of six luncheons will be held on August 11, 2011 from 11:15-1:30 PM in Old Town Hall in Huntingburg. The cost for attending the luncheon is $15, which includes lunch and materials. Participants can register before August 4 online at www.huntingburgfoundation.org.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to partner with the Foundation and the nonprofit community,” said Tom Krodel, Old National Bank, Jasper Region President. “These luncheons offer our community a chance to immerse in new ideas, connects with their peers, and together see what happens. We are proud to invest in such an opportunity for our community.”

June Miller, Regional Director of the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network will be the presenter for the luncheon series. June has over 20 years experience in developing nonprofits. She trains over 1,200 people annually in subjects most critical to the successful functioning of nonprofit organizations.

“The Foundation recognizes the desire of many local charities that want to strengthen their board, which drives the ability for any organization to grow and deepen its impact on the community,” said Brad Ward, Foundation Executive Director. “This is their opportunity.”

The Huntingburg Foundation’s mission is to give people the power to improve their community and leave a lasting legacy. As the Community Foundation of Southwest Dubois County, it serves as a charitable vehicle for donors who have invested over $1.8 million in grants since 1995. The Foundation is operated by two professional staff and governed by a 15-member volunteer board. To learn more, visit www.huntingburgfoundation.org.
