Indiana Furniture recognized for workplace safety

Indiana Furniture’s plywood manufacturing facility has again achieved the Indiana Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program’s (INSHARP) certification.

The Jasper manufacturer is among 45 Indiana businesses that have achieved INSHARP certification in recognition of being workplace safety leaders.

“This is an incredible honor and a reflection of the hard work of each and every one of our employees,” said Greg Hildenbrand, Safety and Environmental engineer for Indiana Furniture. “We’ve created a mindset within our facilities to put safety first. It’s a part of everything we do. Receiving INSHARP recertification is a significant achievement and a testament to the focus and dedication of our entire company.”

INSHARP is a federally recognized program. To participate in INSHARP, a company must develop, implement, and maintain an exemplary worker safety and health management system and pass a comprehensive evaluation. In addition, the facility’s Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) and Total Recordable Case (TRC) rates must be below the national industry average.
