The Jasper Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a health screening for chamber members and the public on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
This screening offers you an opportunity to know your health status, improve your lifestyle, and stay healthy.
Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 5:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Memorial Southside Office—1100 West 12th Avenue, Jasper.
The following health concerns can be checked.
· Blood Cholesterol (Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides, Cholesterol Ratio)
· Blood Pressure
· Height and Weight
· Waist Circumference
· BMI (Body Mass Index)
· Blood Glucose
· Chemistry panel
· Tobacco Status
· Colon Cancer detection take-home kits, optional for those over age 50
· PSA (blood draw), optional for men 50 and older or those with a risk for prostate cancer.
The cost for a basic screening is $39. PSA blood test is $20 (optional for men.) — Check company coverage for preventive screenings. Colon Cancer detection kits: $8 (optional).
Appointments are now being accepted for the 2019 Jasper Chamber Health Screening and can be set through the hospital’s website at www.mhhcc.org, scroll down and click on “Health Screening.” Then enter Jasper Chamber” as the company name and “2019” as the password. Click on the date of screening/time you prefer for your health screening, and complete the registration process.
Appointments will be made every 15 minutes. Please remember a 12-hour fast is necessary for any bloodwork.
