Jasper DeutscherVerein to host Glockenspiel presentation and performance

The Jasper DeutscherVerein (German Club) will have their May meeting on May 18.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. The Club will meet Ackerman Oil Co. Shop at 2075 Lube Way, Jasper. From the IN-162 (Jasper Bypass), turn on Road for Rural King. At the bottom of the hill, on the left is a tan building.

Club members and guests will view the inaugural performance of the Glockenspiel. Jim Corn will be the featured speaker and there will also be a PowerPoint presentation showing the progression of the Glockenspiel.

All are requested to bring their lawn chairs. Burgers, brats, and beverages will be provided by the club.

Club members will last names A-M are asked to bring a bag of chips, pretzels, or snacks and members with last names of N-Z are asked to bring cookies.

All are requested to dress in their best German-themed attire.

In preparation of the 37th Anniversary Partnership trip celebrating the Sister Cities partnership of Jasper and Pfaffenweiler, a video is being created. Video cameos will be taken of those who have traveled to Pfaffenweiler in the past, anyone who has hosted guests from Pfaffenweiler or have relationships or relatives in Pfaffenweiler, and anyone who is willing to just say “Hello”!!

The completed video will be shown in Pfaffenweiler during the 37th Anniversary Celebration evening program.
