The members of the Jasper-Dubois County Contractual Public Library strategic planning task force will announce its findings and new strategic plan this Thursday.
This project is the result of months of planning, developing and refining of goals, objectives, time-frames, and strategies designed to enhance the well-being of the citizens in our service area and beyond. All of the task force members, board, staff and volunteers take great pride in serving the community and are excited to see the new plan be placed into action.
The library would like to thank everyone for their participation and support of the community assessment survey. Feedback from the survey was implemented immediately and even more survey suggestions were added to goals and objectives in the new strategic plan. The plan includes a new mission and vision statement for the library that better align with the library’s goals moving forward. Areas of focus for the plan will include objectives to enhance service delivery, improve internal and external communication and collaboration, fundraising initiatives, and continued growth in organizational excellence.
The public unveiling of the plan will take place at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Thursday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Jasper Public Library Annex. Strategic planning facilitator John Siebert, Library Director Christine Golden, and newly-appointed Library Experiences Manager Jordan Schuetter will present to the board the overall goals of the plan as well as next steps to ensure objectives are achieved. The public is invited to attend this meeting. If any member of the public is interested in serving on the planning committee in any capacity, please email Jordan Schuetter at email@example.com
