Jasper RC Flyers holding RC aircraft event

Jasper — Jasper RC Flyers, a local radio control (RC) aircraft club, is hosting a hands-on open house event at the flying field in Jasper on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event will include hands-on flight training, static display and chuck glider building time. This is a free event.

The hobby of model aircraft flying has changed dramatically during the last several years as light-weight airplanes with quiet electric-motor and long-lasting batteries has made the hobby cheaper and easier to start the adventure that is RC aircraft.

“Our goal with this event is to provide an opportunity for families and individuals to experience the adventure that RC aircraft can provide.  We are excited about aviation, we are excited about RC aircraft, the many experiences it brings and want to share it with others” said Jeremy Church, Club Secretary and the Open House Event Coordinator.

At this Open House event you will have the opportunity to

— To fly a real RC aircraft

— To build a foam board chuck glider

— To see various RC aircraft on display

— To learn about how to begin the adventure in RC aircraft

Jasper RC Flyers wants you and your family to experience the adventure that is RC aircraft firsthand.

Jasper RC Flyer’s Flying Field is located at 1103 S 350 W Jasper, Indiana 47546.  Located behind the Dubois County Recycling Center.
