Jennifer Elizabeth Merkley, 33
Jennifer Elizabeth Merkley, age 33, of Lafayette, passed away at 8:47 p.m. Sunday (December 16, 2012) at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, IN.
Jennifer was born in Princeton, New Jersey on August 14, 1979 to Douglas and Patricia (Filippi) Scully. She married Thomas “Tom” Merkley on October 26, 2002 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony, IN.
Jennifer graduated from Montgomery Township High School in 1997 in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Recreation Therapy at Indiana State University in 2002, where she was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society, and her Masters Degree in Social Work from IUPUI in 2010. She was a social worker.
She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral Church in Lafayette IN, and the American Legion Post #492 Auxiliary.
She loved playing scrabble and she was an avid flute, piccolo, and piano player.

Funeral services for Jennifer Merkley will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (December 22, 2012) at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday (December 21, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and also one hour before services at the church.
