Jerry D. Hoagland, P.A., 77, of Tell City, passed away August 21, 2017, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
He was born December 17, 1939, in Greencastle, son of the late Daniel and Arlene (Wright) Hoagland. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Donald Hoagland.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Jerry was united in marriage to Joyce Buntin, July 26, 1964, in Palestine, Illinois.
He was the owner of Hoagland Accounting for many years and spent several years on the Tell City-Troy Township School Board. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Owensboro, Ky. Jerry and his wife enjoyed camping, but his pride and joy in life was watching his grandchildren participate in sports and rodeo.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Hoagland; son, Greg (Angela), Hoagland, D.V.M. of Eckerty; daughter, Ginger (Mike) Peter of Tell City; brothers, Robert (Eloise) Hoagland of Robinson, Ill. and Larry (Jennifer) Hoagland of Noblesville; six grandchildren, Jessie and Josie Hoagland, Crystal (Garrett) Miller and Cathryn, Caylyn and Caleb Peter.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. CDT Friday, August 25, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery. Bro. James Wedding will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. CDT until service time on Friday.
