John E. Freyberger, 65
John E. Freyberger, age 65 of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 10:00 a.m. Sunday (September 30, 2012) at his home.
He was born in Martin County Indiana on November 1, 1946 to John William and Florence L. (Potts) Freyberger. He married Louise Schnarr on May 17, 1969 at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.
He was a graduate of Alfordsville High School Class of 1964.
John was a Army Vietnam Veteran and retired from Crane Naval Weapons Systems where he had worked for 32 years, He also did farming for many years.
Commendation for Valor with Oak Leaf Cluster and also a recipient of the Purple Heart.
John is a member of Christ Lutheran Church -V.F.W. Post #673 Jasper, American Legion Post at Loogootee, Indiana.
His hobbies were NASCAR and checkers and especially time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is one grandson John Carter Freyberger.
Funeral services for John Freyberger will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (October 4, 2012) in Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Community Cemetery in Haysville, Indiana. Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel and one hour before services at church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to Palliative Care and Lange Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper.
