Kayaking at Patoka Lake, July 29

Bring your kayak to Patoka Lake on July 29 for a two-hour paddle with naturalists to look for bald eagles, beavers and other wildlife.

The adventure starts at 9:30 a.m. at the secluded King’s Bridge Boat Ramp. You can also meet the naturalists at the Patoka Lake Office to car caravan to the boat ramp. The caravan will leave promptly at 8:15 a.m.

Participants will paddle upstream to Grimes Lake Marsh. Participants should bring refreshments, life jackets, binoculars and cameras. Non-motorized boat launch permits are required and will be sold at the event for $5. They are also available at the Patoka Lake Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
