Kids consignment event planned at Huntingburg Event Center

Pigtails & Cowlicks of Owensboro, Kentucky is hosting a two-day kids consignment event on August 28 and 29 at the Huntingburg Event Center. The event provides an opportunity for families to buy or sell high-quality children’s items at bargain prices. Shoppers can save up to 90 percent off retail prices for name-brand and boutique items.

Local families can register to sell a variety of children’s items, including clothing and shoes for sizes newborn to size 20. Toys, bicycles, furniture, décor, books and all kinds of baby gear, including strollers, high chairs, car seats, cribs and much more will be displayed in organized departments.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. Several items will be marked half-price Saturday. Cash and credit cards will be accepted; no check. Admission is free.

Elaine Martin, owner and founder of Pigtails & Cowlicks, said, “We pride ourselves on selling excellent items in an organized atmosphere. I love hosting these events that help so many people. Moms make money on items their kids have outgrown but are still in great condition. Shoppers find terrific bargains at a fraction of the retail prices. I am also proud that we are able to help local charities by donating unsold items that can be benefit their clients and families.”

Martin said the sale will comply with state health guidelines. “Hand sanitizer will be available, and face coverings will be required to enter,” she said. “Racks and tables will be placed 10 feet apart across the floor space, allowing physical distancing while shopping.”
