Lester W. Weisheit

Lester W. Weisheit, age 80, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, (April 3, 2013), in the Timbers of Jasper, Health Care Center.

He was born at Haysville, Indiana, November 15, 1932, to Edward and Katherine (Neukam) Weisheit. He married Marcella Street on (August 14, 1956), in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.

He retired from Indiana Furniture Industries in Jasper and had previously worked for the Jasper Seating Company.

Lester was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. He is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and V.F.W. Post # 673.

Ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is one daughter, Sheila Schmitt, also one sister and one brother Vernelda Mauder and Cletus Weisheit.

Funeral services for Lester Weisheit will be held at 11:00 Saturday (April 6, 2013), in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate. V.F.W. Post 673 will conduct military grave side rites.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday (April 5, 2013), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.
