Letter: Republicans excuse, ‘he’s an unconventional president’

It would have been more palatable if all this had happened incrementally, when no one was looking, and no one was aware that a crime was being committed.

But it didn’t happen that way.

Donald Trump carved the moral core out of the Republican Party while Republicans everywhere stood around, shuffling their feet, hands in their pocket, staring at their shoes, mumbling “Well, he is IS an unconventional president.”

For those of you who have something against prosperity and Americanism try moving to Cuba, China, Russia or any other communist nation of your choosing. Like it or Leave it. We fought for it. America!

Russia hasn’t been Communist since 1993.

Total bunk…and agree with USA ret. The republicans and all other true freedom-loving patriots have only to consider what the alternative could have been…a third term of Obama by way of Hillary but indeed worse…to understand how fortunate this nation to have averted that scenario (and, to be clear, the reason Trump is president and not Hillary, to which subscribers of such bunk still can’t accept).

Yeah Obama was soooo bad. He helped millions of people get health care and the stock market boomed like it never has before. The reason it boomed was because companies were making huge profits. Look it up sometime, profits over long term make stock prices go up.

But alas, Obama is half black, so people like you have to say he was a bad president.

Republicans nor Democrats can claim any high ground when it comes to morality. Donald Trump won because his morality was the lesser of two evils. Donald Trump is a narcissist, egomaniac, and thin skinned. Hillary on the other hand was a

    – #metoo enabler (rebuked the woman who claimed abuse by her husband)
    – Rigged the primary election to shut Bernie Sanders out
    – Funded a false Russian dossier that undermined a presidential candidate
    – Lied to the FBI
    – Started a foundation that took pay for play money from foreign governments
    – Broke the law when it came to storing and receiving classified documents

The democrats have a 12 million registered voter lead over republicans. They should never lose a national election, but they did. Why because even the democrats crossed party lines to vote for Donald Trump.

The media did everything it could to make Donald Trump the winner in the republican primary. Democrats thought that Donald Trump would be the easiest candidate to beat in the 2016 election. NBC, MSNBC, CNN and other media outlets covered Donald Trump like no other republican candidate before, boosting him to a primary win and then turning on him when he was the nominee. You don’t think NBC releasing the p***y grabbing tape, they sat on until after the nomination, was fair to the voters? NBC tried to influence the election by holding Inculpatory evidence and the voters punished them for it.

The republicans, democrats and independents elected Donald Trump as president. They were not ignorant to what the media, democrats and the deep state were doing. They spoke loudly and will do so again if they feel like the election is being hijacked.

This is the 2nd letter bringing Trump down; trying to make Republicans look good. Can we all assume the Dubois Free Press is Republicans like the local t.v. channels? It’s been a long time for the President of the United States has done anything to help U.S. Citizen; instead of foreign countries.

    • Sandyh September 14, 2018 at 7:34 pm #

All my words “Republicans” should be “Democrats”. There is no need to make Republicans look good because the President of the U.S. is doing that……………..Keep fighting for the U.S. Mr. President and hopefully you will be in office 8 yrs.

You forgot to mention about the Benghazi attack or the non secure server in her house or the 50,000 e-mails deleted.

My, my, my. The only point I had was this: There is an inherent danger in any one party state. The Republicans in Congress don’t understand that theirs is a co-equal branch of government. They are the functional equivalent of invertebrates. And through their cowardice, they have happily agreed to be gelded by a man whose policies they actually hate.

That was the point of my post — nothing more, nothing less. I have no interest in addressing the endlessly regurgitated garbage mentioned above.

Thank you, Jeff, for clarifying that . . um . . minor point. Russia, of course, is not a communist nation. It most resembles a mafia dictatorship, which is why certain elements of this administration find it attractive. Again, Republicans know all of this but lack the courage to take a decisive stand.

Endless regurgitation is right….it’s very sad that the Republicans are afraid to disagree with this nutcase we call a president just so they can get re elected in their states. How can you let this craziness continue? You should ALL be ashamed!!

I totally agree with you, Jody C
