“LINCOLN: A Pioneer Tale” audition date set

Auditions and interviews for the 2016 performances of “LINCOLN:  A Pioneer Tale” will be held Friday, February 19, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. CST.

As part of Indiana’s Bicentennial Celebration, as well as the bicentennial of the Lincoln’s family arrival to Spencer County, the outdoor drama will be making a return to the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s stage in 2016 for a six-show limited engagement on July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, and 16.

The musical play features a cast of approximately 32 with additional extra roles. There are roles for Children 10 and older as well as adult roles.

Auditions for lead roles, supporting roles and extra roles; singing and non-singing roles; and technical positions are February 19th from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Dancer-only roles also available. ALL ROLES and Tech Positions ARE PAYING! The auditions will be held at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial (Nancy Hanks Hall), 3027 East South Street, Lincoln City, Indiana 47552

If you are auditioning for a singing role please bring sheet music for a musical theatre song.  A pianist will be present to play your music. All non-singing and extra roles please bring a one-minute monologue from any play. You will also be asked to read from the script. For dancers only, please choreograph a one-minute dance (bring CD).
