Lindauer welcomes local student page to the Statehouse

State Rep. Shane Lindauer (R-Jasper) recently welcomed Jasper Middle School student Luke Popp to the Statehouse where he participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.

Popp, from Jasper, assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined Lindauer on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.

“This is a unique chance for Hoosier students to understand the legislative process and witness it firsthand,” Lindauer said. “I always enjoy hearing from and meeting with students from our community, and I hope more students consider paging next year.”

Lindauer said students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
