Lois A. Boggs, 76

Lois A. Boggs, 76, of Jasper, formerly of Prescott, Ariz., passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Lois was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 25, 1939 to Herman and Elenora (Mehringer) Rasche. She married Jack Boggs on September 3, 1961 in St. Louis, Mo., He preceded her in death in November 12, 2004.

She was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1957.

Lois graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in physical therapy and worked as a physical therapist for many years.

She enjoyed watching professional football and reading.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Vandiver and husband George of Chino Valley, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Ashley Frett and husband Casey of Madison, Wis. and Alyssa Vandiver of Chino Valley, Ariz.; three sisters, Viola Wagner and husband Joseph of Jasper, Pearl Spayd and husband Ralph of Jasper and Diane Henke and husband Denny of Winslow.

Preceding her in death was one brother, Ambrose Rasche, and two sisters, Rita Durcholz, and Alberta Weyer.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with burial at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church, Holy Family Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
