Mary A. Bickwermert, 88

Mary A. Bickwermert, 88, of Jasper, Indiana passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at The Heritage Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Mary was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 17, 1926 to Oscar and Catherine (Hedinger) Mundy. She married Ernest Bickwermert on May 13, 1950 in Ferdinand, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1997.
Mary had worked at the Jasper Telephone Company, Jasper Glove Factory, Gossart’s, and Jasper Taxi. She was previously a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and then currently was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Indiana. She loved quilting, crocheting, making beaded flowers, and playing cards and games.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Griepenstroh, and her husband, Howard, of Lamar, Donna Thewes, and her husband, Leon, of St. Anthony, and Carol Schmitt, and her husband, Tom, of Haubstadt; one son, John Bickwermert of Leopold, Ind.; seven grandchildren,
17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are one granddaughter and three brothers, Linus, Orville, and Leroy Mundy.
Funeral services for Mary A. Bickwermert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church.
