Michael E. Vaal, 51

Michael E. Vaal, 51, of Santa Claus, passed away Monday April 1, 2013.   

He was born August 6, 1961 at Jasper to Edgar and Marion (Wendholt) Vaal. Michael married Lisa Boeckman October 8, 1983 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

He worked for the Town of Santa Claus as a Waste Water Tech.

Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and turtling

Michael is survived by his wife Lisa;

Two sons,

Jace Vaal  of Dale

Shae Vaal of Santa Claus

Two brothers,

Randy (Melody) Vaal of Stafford TX

Bruce (Lea Ann) Vaal of New Albany

Two sisters,

Lauren (Ken) Rickelman of Evansville

Gina (Richie) Johnson of Evansville

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Marion.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. CDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and from 9 to 10 a.m. CDT Thursday at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Santa Claus.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. CDT in Saint Nicholas with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
