Michael R. Seifrig, 68

Michael R. Seifrig, 68, of Jasper, passed away at 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Michael was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on January 28, 1947 to Robert and Anna (Keifer) Seifrig. He married Virginia Miller on January 23, 1982 in Petersburg, Indiana.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who had served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Indiana Furniture. He enjoyed watching TV, antique shopping, viewing antique cars, nature, and animals.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Seifrig of Jasper; one sister, Linda Nutter and her husband Robert of Hammond; one brother, Gary Seifrig and his wife Mary of Ireland; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Funeral services for Michael R. Seifrig will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date. Rev. William Traylor will officiate. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military rites.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
