Myron Evert Knies, 72, Jasper

Myron Evert Knies, 72, of Jasper, entered into eternal rest on November 21st, 2017 at his residence.
He was born in Paoli, Indiana on April 21st, 1945 to Paul R. and Susan (Bledsoe) Knies.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Portage Township High School with the class of 1963. After high school, Myron joined the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at the demilitarized zone between North Korea and South Korea.
After being honorably discharged, Myron began his career at Northern Indiana Public Service Company, which lasted for 30 years until his retirement.
Myron is survived by one brother, Dan Knies (Susie) of Norton, Ind.; two sisters, Paula Kable (Jay Kuckuck) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Linda Robertson of Norton, Indiana; one nephew, James Knies of Norton, Indiana; three nieces, Stacy Hamilton of Scottsdale, Arizona, Karen Kerr of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Erica Robertson of Jasper, Indiana; one great-nephew, Ryan Kerr and two great-nieces, Kaila Knies and Madison Kerr. Several Cousins and loving family members also survive.
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cane Creek Christian Church in French Lick. Interment will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery in French Lick with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
