Norma Joanne Harris, 90, Jasper

Norma Joanne Harris, 90, of Jasper, entered eternal rest on March 19, 2023, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born in Martin County, Ind., on February 7, 1933, to Dennis and Violet (Line) Kearby.

Norma married Charles “Ben” Harris on September 15, 1951, and he preceded her in death on November 11th, 2016.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Mike Harris.

Norma graduated from French Lick High School and retired from Alco Dime Store in French Lick.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Mark Harris (Holly) of Fort Myers; sister, Billie Weikert of Jasper; five grandchildren, Ben Harris (Kenya) of Jasper, Matt Harris (Jen) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Jennifer Harris of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Christopher Harris of Cape Coral, and Samantha Harris of Orlando; three great-grandchildren, Sophia Harris of Jasper, Nolan and Wesley Harris of Castle Rock, Colo.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Wineinger on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
