Patsy L. Andry, 77

Patsy L. Andry, 77, of Jasper, passed away Sunday morning, April 26, 2015 at her home; she was taken to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper where she was pronounced deceased.

She was born at home on April 2, 1938 in Orange County, Indiana, to Loval and Helen (Parks) Patton. She married Harold Ray Andry on June 30, 1956 at the Fairview General Baptist Church in Taswell, Indiana.

Mrs. Andry was a retired teacher’s aide having worked in school systems at Pine Ridge, Jasper and Huntingburg. She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one daughter, Alicia Robin “Robbie” Wiseman; and three sisters, Janet Carr, Sheila Atkins and Bonnie Wilkes.

She is survived by  her husband, Ray Andry of Jasper; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy R. (April) Andry of English; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon (Lee Allen) Opel of Huntingburg; one brother, Jack Patton of Taswell; four sisters, Sharon Ponder of Chapel Hill, N.C., Linda Roberts of New Albany, Cathy Staten of Taswell, and Beverly Oxley of English; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Patsy L. Andry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye with burial to follow at the Birdseye Cemetery.  Reverend Robert Borden and Reverend Harold Bayer will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and also at the New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
