Paul Monroe, 56
Paul Monroe, age 56, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away Tuesday morning, January 7, 2014 at his residence in Jasper.
He was born December 11, 1957 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Calvin Paul and Anna Jane (Ermert) Monroe. He worked at the Jasper Herald for 23 years where he was a printing press operator. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes, and bowling. Paul was preceded in death by: his parents.
He is survived by three sons, James Monroe of Huntingburg, Jordan Monroe of Chicago, Ill., and Dakota Monroe of Huntingburg; seven sisters, Christine Messmer of Birdseye, Sharon (Ron) Montgomery of Petersburg, Debbie Mendel of Jasper, Beverly Arnold of Dale, Nancy Warner of Jasper, Connie (Bob) Houchin of Ferdinand, and Bridgett Hamm of Evansville; two brothers, Gary (Linda) Uppencamp of Gentryville, Ind., Henry (Kelly) Uppencamp of Ferdinand; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services for Paul Monroe will be held at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with military honors conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail.
